All about the course

What is an Alpine Tourism and Trekking course?

Our course is a great opportunity to gain practical knowledge and skills necessary to move safely in the mountains. It is aimed at both beginners and those who want to organize their skills.

During the course you will learn how to prepare for mountain expeditions, use basic equipment and navigate a variety of, including more difficult, trails.

What will you learn on our course?

The training program includes:

✅ Learning basic knots
You will master the most important knots used in the mountains, such as the figure eight, the clove hitch and the prusik, which will be useful when belaying and securing routes.

✅ Basic equipment support
You will learn how to properly use hiking equipment such as harnesses, ropes, trekking poles and carabiners.

✅ Driving on insured roads
You will learn how to move safely on trails with safety elements (via ferrata, routes with chains or clamps).

✅ Insurance on insured routes
You will gain knowledge about buddy belaying and protecting yourself and others when moving through more difficult terrain.

✅ Planning trips
You will learn the principles of planning mountain trips, from choosing a route to analysing the weather and preparing an emergency plan.

✅ Navigation
You will learn to use maps, a compass and modern GPS technologies to navigate the mountains with confidence.

✅ Packing backpacks
You will learn how to pack a backpack so that it is ergonomic and contains everything you need for your trip.

✅ Preparing the equipment
You will learn to select appropriate equipment depending on the type and difficulty of the route.

✅ Mountain ethics
You will understand the rules of ethical behavior in the mountains, respect for nature and other tourists, and the idea of "Leave No Trace".
